Grahamstown

The choir spent a memorable three days in Grahamstown, in the eastern Cape district, back in 1997.
I went to see what was happening with the Cross of Nails.

The Cross of Nails is mounted prominently in the Lady Chapel.

I visited the township area, for a meeting on AIDS...

...with ministers from many different churches.

The choir were practising in St Philip’s Church.

The nearby monks had a stunning Xhosa Madonna and Child...

...and a view from their chapel’s east window to die for.
